'Nothing Is Wrong' was a big record in 2011 and received great reviews and fan appreciation. Dawes is an amazing band and we were thrilled to work on quite a bit of graphics for the band leading up to the release. We developed packaging for a promotional EP called 'Suitcase' which was a teaser for the release of 'Nothing Is Wrong'. Then, we did labels for the vinyl release which was avaialble in several packages on their pre-order website we designed and developed.
Pre-Order Site
The Dawes pre-order website was a lot of fun to create and one of our first full featured pre-order sites integrating the Topspin platform. The site was designed to do pretty much one thing...sell advanced copies of 'Nothing Is Wrong'. This pre-order page was extremely succesful and their email list grew exponentially after this page went up. Prior to putting up the pre-order page we developed a page specifically to announce the upcoming release, capture email addresses and give away a song. Another online piece we developed was a robust digital one sheet. This page included a CMS so it could be updated by their label and management.
In support of the release we worked on a wide variety of print pieces and merchandise. We designed tour posters, website ad banners, t-shirts, postcards and a printable one sheet. With a band like Dawes there is a lot of buzz so there was a bigger opportunity to create more items for fans and more giveaways for publicity. We also worked on campaign for their co-headline tour with Blitzen Trapper which included t-shirts, a tour web page and tour posters.
